<p style="text-align: justify;">Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, received First Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Ms. Yuko Mitsui. The two sides discuss ways to enhance future cooperation in light of the long-term strategic partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and Japan, which has contributed over decades to strengthening developmental, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">During the meeting Dr. Rania Al-Mashat congratulated Ms. Yuko Mitsui on her appointment as Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in October 2025, wishing her a successful and fruitful term during which she will achieve further accomplishments for the benefit of Japanese-Egyptian cooperation.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Rania Al-Mashat added that Egypt recently launched the “National Narrative for Economic Development,” which reinforces efforts to integrate Vision 2030, the government program, and sectoral strategies to promote the transformation of the Egyptian economy towards productive sectors. The minister noted that the government is moving forward with implementing economic and structural reforms that enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Al-Mashat emphasized the Arab Republic of Egypt’s appreciation to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Government of Japan for the pivotal role Japan has played in supporting, financing, and implementing the Grand Egyptian Museum project.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat and Ms. Yuko Mitsui discussed opportunities for future cooperation in several key areas, including human capital development, private sector support, enhancing regional connectivity and infrastructure, developing healthcare facilities, digital transformation, and preserving cultural heritage.
